Mom, Dad and Adalyn

I had so much fun photography this little girl.

Ends up that she loved my little stool, I wanted to carry it around with her for the rest of the shoot.
Too cute!

The whole family is just adorable.

I love this funny moment with Ady and Mommy.

I love this shot above of Mom and Dad!

Ady is a very curious little girl. I realized quickly that she has an eye for art and lead us to most of our pictures!

Including sweet moments like this!

Me, in front of the camera

When you're the photographer of the family, it tends to be a rare thing for you to be in front of the camera. Today my hubby took at the camera and snapped a few of me.

Sioux City, IA - Part II

Our trip to Sioux City, IA started with the Farmers Market, then we moved onto the Sergeant Floyd Welcome Center. Sergeant Floyd traveled with Lewis and Clark and died around this area while on the expedition.

I thought this was funny - I have never seen Jolly Time popcorn...or any kind of popcorn in a can! It's produced in Sioux City.

I'm a sucker for postcards. I buy them from every place we go and keep them in an album.

The museum was really cool. A lot of things for little hands to touch and turn.

Colton especially liked the little exhibits. There are at least a dozen throughout the museum. All are so detailed.

The best part was the top of the ship. Kids can steer the boat and ring the ships bell!

We also went to the Palmers Candy store and loaded up!

More pictures from our trip later this week!

Sioux City, Iowa Road Trip

If you're ever near Sioux City, IA - it's worth the trip to stop in. Especially if you have kids with you. We took a little day trip up there last weekend and my boys loved it. There were so many cool things to do!

First we stopped off at the Farmers Market...

They had a great selection of veggies and some great food vendors too.

We found a booth that had the most beautiful handmade wooden cutting boards!

I loved all the patterns available!

They also had beautiful hand-painted bird houses.

Prices for these boards are perfect...starting at just $10.

Chris picked out the perfect cutting board for me! I loved it!
I got a medium sized board for $20

This is the guy who makes them all - what a talented guy!

And his beautiful wife!
(Said they hadn't had their pictures taken together in a long time!)

To get in contact with this talented guy about getting a cutting board of your own, you can call Lynn Jarvis with
Snowflake Wood Crafts at 712-874-3498.

I'll post more about your Sioux City Trip later on this week!
Have a great Monday!
